My route was: Bavet(Vietnamese border) - Phnom Penh - Skun (- Siem Reap - Poipet)

Hitch-hiking:

From the Vetnamese border to Phnom Penh was easy, there are many trucks going that way. But after the capital, the trucks desappeared, often had to take "passanger trucks", even took a bus ride. There are only big jeeps and pick-ups are on the road and their drivers did not even look at me.

Tap water: avoid drinking it.

Accomodation: could find room for 3 USD even in the most touristy places.

Phnom Penh: Hotel Capitol close to the Stadion. They also run a travel agency offering tickets, trips.

Siem Reap: Popular Guest House close to the Central Market.

I rented a bicycle for a day -1 USD at the Boomerang Guest House- and had an    awesome day in the Angkor Wat area. Ticket for 1 day costs 20 USD, and 40 for 3 days.

You can find bus to Bangkok for six USD.

Visa- and MasterCard: ATMs grow at every corner where tourists are expected.

Internet: easy to get online. Most hotels and guesthouses have wifi.
